MILWAUKEE -- Police are investigating a double shooting Wednesday morning that killed a 24-year-old man and seriously injured a 27-year-old woman.
It happened just before noon in the 4200 block of N. 51st Blvd., near W. Fond Du Lac Ave. The man was shot inside a home and died at the scene, police say.
The woman was also shot inside the home and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. A friend of the victims says they were dating and had a young child together.
"He wasn't a bad guy at all," said Alileshia Hankins. "He was a great guy, I just can't believe it, I really can't."
There's no word yet on what may have caused the shooting. The Medical Examiner's Office says an autopsy will be performed Thursday.
