A 38-year-old Fond du Lac woman was arrested after a 26-mile chase that reached speeds of 115 mph, authorities said.
It started early Thursday morning when Fond du Lac County deputies attempted a traffic stop on Highway 23 at Highway C in the Town of Lamartine, authorities said.
The reason for the attempted stop was speeding, 78 mph and a 55 mph zone, authorities said.
The vehicle continued eastbound on Highway 23, then onto I-41, and continued southbound to Highway 151 where southbound speeds reached 115 mph, authorities said.
Waupun Police officers used tire deflation devices on Highway 151 at County Highway AS, which led to the vehicle stopping at Highway 151 and Highway 26, authorities said.
The only person inside the vehicle was the driver, who now faces charges including operating while impaired, operating after revocation, and illegal possession of prescriptions, authorities said.
She was taken into custody without incident.
