Fond du Lac cheese factory to close, more than 125 employees affected

FOND DU LAC -- A Fond du Lac cheese factory will close next year.

Saputo plans to close its plant next May; more than 125 employees will be impacted, according to a company news release.

The employees will receive severance, and some could move to other company locations, the news release said.

Saputo plans to move the Fond du Lac production to its Almena facility in western Wisconsin.
