A Black Lives Matter banner displayed over a Northeast Wisconsin church was stolen over the weekend, reports our sister station NBC26.
Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship officials say the banner had previously been displayed for more than two years.
Calling the theft an "act of political vandalism" and a "cowardly way to express a point of view," Interim Senior Minister Rev, Kathleen Rolenz said church officials have received a number of telephone calls about the banner in the wake of the recent officer involved shootings.
A new banner will be installed on Friday, July 15.
