This year, the Girl Scouts have taken their cookies to a whole new level.
Cookie lovers may go online to order. (Or the little girl next door will have her own personal link that will give her credit when you order.)
Can’t wait until they come in? You can make your own with the Girl Scout cookie oven from Amazon. You can actually see the cookies warming up in the oven’s window. The oven comes complete with baking pan, spatula, measuring tool, and a Thin Mints starter mix to bake cookies.
Click here to purchase Girl Scout cookie refill packs. This bundle will let you make thin mints, peanut butter sandwich, trefoils, chocolate peanut butter and caramel coconut cookies.
If eating these yummy cookies isn’t enough, try pairing them with a nice glass of wine. Thrillist.com shows a wonderful chart of what cookie goes best with what type of wine.
HERE’S A QUICK, EXTREMELY EASY THIN MINT RECIPE
You will need a bag of Andes mints, finely chopped and a box of Ritz crackers.
• Melt 1 bag of mints for 1 minute in the microwave and stir.
• Dip Ritz crackers in chocolate, flip over with a fork and lay on a cookie sheet with wax paper over it.
• Set in fridge for 30 minutes or until chocolate is completely cooled.
Or use the cookies in other ways: Put a thin mint in a cupcake liner, then pour cupcake mixture over it and use the thin mint as the crust. Or take two Do-Si-Dos and fill them with crème to have a homemade cookie sandwich.
