Downtown Kenosha is transforming into one giant holiday party Friday night.
Lightin' Up Downtown & the Business Decorating Contest start at 4 p.m. with holiday music and entertainment all leading up to the Christmas Tree Lighting at 5 p.m.
Christmas favorites from Mrs. Claus to characters from "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and all the way to the big man himself will be making appearances for photos.
Downtown shops and businesses will also have light displays of their own for visitors to vote on. Everyone who votes will be entered to win a Downtown Kenosha Gift Basket filled with prizes from participating businesses.
Other events include free electric streetcar rides from 4-9 p.m., letter writing with Mrs. Claus and more.
