The countdown is on and time is almost up for Christmas shoppers.
Hordes of people packed Milwaukee-area stores on Christmas Eve looking for gifts and last-minute items.
All the hustle and bustle of the season sometimes means you miss something.
"I forgot them, but I am going to find something nice and hopefully it's going to be half price," said Dorothy Travis Moore, in reference to a few of her relatives she was shopping for.
TODAY’s TMJ4 spoke with Cassie Estrada of Wauwatosa, who was shopping at Target because she left her niece's present in a parking lot last week.
"I'm in a rush because I went to six other stores and they didn't have it. So I'm like, 'Ok, we found it,’” Estrada said.
But while parents are focused on buying, some kids can hardly contain their excitement for tomorrow's visitor.
Five-year-old Bella Estrada wants My Little Ponies, books and a bean bag chair for Christmas and she knows she will probably get them.
"Because I'm on the good list!" Bella said.
She’s not so sure about her little brother, because she believes he’s on the naughty list.
But most importantly, the lists have been checked off so families can focus on celebrating the season.
Most stores closed Thursday night and don’t reopen until Saturday.
