The Salvation Army is looking for new or gently used coats, hats, mittens and scarves for both adults and children in the Milwaukee area.

As of December 4, 2,000 coats have been donated. This is a decline from last year when the organization had already received over 4,500 coats.

The Salvation Army is hoping to collect 10,000 coats this winter for families in need.

Drop-off locations are The Salvation Army, Steinhafels and Johnson Bank. Specific information on these locations can be found on the Salvation Army website.
