The St. Francis Public Library won’t be decking the halls for Christmas this year, according to a report by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The library had decided to cancel its holiday events and keep the Christmas decorations in storage, and instead the library will opt for “winter decorations.”

"The library board supported the move to seasonal decorations and dropping the holiday party at their last meeting," Library Director Amy Krahn told the Journal Sentinel. "We are confident that our library patrons will recognize that we offer and will continue to offer valuable resources and programming to the community."

According to the report, instead of the holiday party this year, the library will hold a “luau event” in January.
