MILWAUKEE – Things got a little “saucy” in one Milwaukee neighborhood Saturday afternoon. But, it was for a good cause.
The East Side Business Business Improvement District held the “11th Annual Tomato” Romp on city’s east side.
The day consisted of eating, drinking, a short parade, and a tomato fight – with more than 8,000 pounds of rotten tomatoes.
The event is one-of-a-kind in the country where people simply throw tomatoes really hard at each other.
Proceeds from the event are donated to the Riverwest Food Pantry.
