MILWAUKEE -- Popular lakefront film series "Point Fish Fry & a Flick" will not return for the 2017 season, according to a post on the event's Facebook page.
"Fish Fry and a Flick will not be returning for the 2017 season. There are no definite plans in place for the future of the event. Thanks, Milwaukee, for 7 great seasons!" the post reads.
The series had shown new and classic movies on a large outdoor screen at Discovery World. The free event also featured a fish fry from Bartolotta's Restaurant Group.
Pabst Theater Group, which organized the annual film series, did not give an immediate reason as to why it would not return this year.
