Milwaukee events to get you out of the house this weekend

Don't let the rain get you down. The sun is sneaking back out this weekend and so should you. Here's a list of events to get you out of the house and onto the streets on Milwaukee.

Diplo Concert

Grammy-nominated DJ/Producer Diplo is playing a free concert at Summerfest grounds Friday night, yes, FREE! The mid and north gates will be open at 7 p.m. for concertgoers. The event is a first-come, first serve basis and entry gates will be closed when capacity is reached.

SummerSoulsticeMusic Festival

The 18th Annual Summer Soulstice Music Festival kicks off at 12 p.m. on Saturday. Three stages of music, as well as mini-golf, 15 East Side favorite food vendors and more will all be on the East Side until midnight. 

Greek Fest

Opa! Greek Fest is back at the Wisconsin State Fair Park Friday through Sunday. Check out authentic Greek food and music, and the popular Greek Chicken Drive Thru. Admission to Greek Fest is free.

Strawberry Festival

Get your berry on at Strawberry Fest in Cedarburg. The festival runs Saturday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Try a unique take on berries like the strawberry brat, strawberry brat corndog and more.

Beer Tours

VISIT Milwaukee just released The Orginal Brew City Beer Map with over 60 beer destinations across the region. Pick up your map and spend the weekend indulging in the history of Milwaukee.

Ghost Tours

If all this talk about ghosts has you feeling supernatural, head to one of many famously haunted Milwaukee destinations. Cardinals pitcher Carlos Martinez said he saw a ghost in his hotel room at the Pfister, but there are many other places to see one for yourself.
