MILWAUKEE — Mexican Fiesta is returning to the Summerfest grounds this year, promising great food, music and lots of fun. We've included some important things to know about before heading to the festival.
Hours:
The festival will be open from noon until midnight Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Admission:
Children ages 8 and younger are free with an adult. Anyone older than 8 will be charged $17 at the gate or $15 if you purchase tickets in advance. The festival is offering a special promotion Sunday: $11 tickets will be offered to anyone entering the grounds from noon until 2 p.m.
Entertainment:
The festival has several bands performing on the free stages, bringing the sounds of Mexico to the lakefront. To see the whole lineup, click here.

Security:
Festivals in the 21st century raise a unique set of security concerns. A person was arrested after making a threat against the festival, prompting the president of Mexican Fiesta to make a statement. Remember that if you see something suspicious, say something. Officials said there is no longer a threat to the public.
