The U.S. Air Force is ready to get behind the wheel of the Thunderbirds at the Milwaukee Air and Water Show.
The roar returns to Milwaukee's lakeshore this weekend. The air and water show is back.
"We can feel the energy of the crowd, believe it or not, when we are airborne."
Major Nick Krajicek is a member of the Air Force Thunderbirds. "We're going to come out here and we're going to inspire. That's what we do."
There is a Wisconsin connection on the world famous team.
Seargent Elizabeth Barclay is from Milton. She's been a member of the squad's maintenance team for two years, keeping the jets soaring.
"It's an amazing experience," she said.
The Thunder Birds perform Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m.
