Summerfest fans lined up before the sun rose Wednesday morning to get a front row seat for Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert, who will play Summerfest at 10 p.m.

“It means a lot to me. I've been looking forward to this since whenever they dropped the roster lineup for Summerfest and saw Uzi was on the regular stage for $25. I couldn't pass it up,” said fan Trey Rantanen from Chicago.
“Go big or go home. Why not stand in line with some of my favorite people?” said Donovan Perry from Cudahy.
Fans poured into the Big Gig for the opening day Wednesday, like Superfan Art Frey.
“Day one is pretty much soaking it in. Everyone is pumped for day one,” Frey said.
The grounds have gone through a bit of a facelift since last year. They’re not quite done with renovations at the North end of Summerfest. The Uline Warehouse is up next, which will take place at the end of this Summerfest.
