GREEN BAY, Wis. -- A new Ferris wheel is in the works for Bay Beach.
The Green Bay Parks Committee unanimously recommended a plan to accept the Friends of Bay Beach donation for the new ride.
The design of the Ferris wheel is still being planned, but City officials are looking at a possible 100-foot Ferris wheel, double the size of the current ride.
The cost would be $2.1 million, to be paid for with private donations.
The Parks Committee hopes to have the new Ferris wheel installed by 2019.
