COLUMBIA COUNTY, Wis — While doing light yard work in her backyard, a Columbia County woman found human remains buried just a few inches deep.
Since then, the Columbia County Sheriff's Office has been working to figure out the age, who they belong to, and how long they have been there. Authorities have also requested that the identity of the woman and the location of her house remain a secret.
The remains found were a jaw with the molar all the way to the canines.
The Columbia County woman was looking through a bin, and kicked a box out of the way, which in turn uncovered some mulch revealing the remains.
At the same time the sheriff's office said they are still searching for the body of Beth Kutz, who died in July 2000. It is unclear if the two cases are related.
