WISCONSIN — In years past, many of us enjoyed the hustle and bustle of in-person, Black Friday shopping. However, during a pandemic, you may want to re-think how, when, and where you shop. Here are a few things that you can do stay safe and avoid hassles:

To avoid the risk of getting sick, you may want to consider shopping online. Many stores will offer free curbside pick-up or deals on shipping. However, these options can present some challenges of their own.

With more people using these services, expect delays, and items that are out of stock or missing from your order. To avoid problems, shop early, check your order as soon as it arrives, and take immediate action if something is missing or wrong.

If you plan to shop in person, do what you can to keep yourself, and others safe. Follow face mask protocols, social distancing, and hand sanitizing. Be aware of your surroundings, and keep packages and personal items secure and out of site.

If you decide to take a pass or miss out on Black Friday shopping, remember:

You can still take advantage of shopping on Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and giving on Giving Tuesday.
