CUDAHY — The body of the missing swimmer was positively identified Monday as 19-year-old Aaron Q. Polnitz of Brookfield, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.
At 3:56 p.m. Sunday, the MCSO was dispatched to the Warnimont Park Lake Michigan shoreline to investigate a body that was spotted by citizens who were biking.
On Aug. 5, Polnitz was swimming in Lake Michigan east of Warnimont Park when he failed to resurface after disappearing underwater.
The investigation is ongoing, and no other information is being released now.
