Spring is officially here and summer is around the corner, so that means it's time for seasonal jobs if you're looking for some extra cash.
There are more than 1,000 seasonal jobs available in the Milwaukee area, and if you want a job, now is the time to apply.
Many positions are out there, from tree services to landscaping companies.
"Basically anybody 18 and older that's ready and willing to work hard, very very hard," said Joe Allen, with the Forester Tree Service.
Even the Brewers are hiring.
"We need about 800 staff members, associates on Opening Day," said Eric Babcook, the Director of Operations with the Brewers.
And they want to fill those positions as quickly as possible. They've already had a couple of job fairs, and will be hosting another one this Friday from 4-8pm at the ballpark.
"With that we'll be having drug tests on sight, we'll be doing interviews and hiring on-site as well," said Babcook.
And that's for anyone 16 and up. Milwaukee's county parks system is also looking to hire nearly 200 people. In order to apply, you must live in Wisconsin and be at least 16 years of age when you apply, or be at least 18 if the position requires serving beer.
Jean Salzer with UWM's Career Resource Center says when it comes to applying for seasonal jobs, it's important to apply early.
"You have a little bit more ability to choose something that works for you the earlier you start," said Salzer.
For the Brewers job fair, resumes are preferred but not necessary.
UWM will be hosting a summer Job fair in April 20th from 10am-2pm at the Student Union Ballroom.
QPS Group is also helping in hiring. They specialize in industrial, office/clerical, skilled trades and professional level positions.

4. Basic Assembly $10-12/ hour

6. Packagers - $9-$11/ hour
