PEWAUKEE-- Florida is a place Wisconsinites seek refuge during our long winter months. People there are now looking to many of us for help.

We found it is not just people in need, but pets. That is where "Operation Bring Animals Home Search and Rescue Team" plans to step in.

They reunited families with their animals in Houston after Harvey hit.

Caryn Buege of Pewaukee helped reunite more than 120 animals displaced from Hurricane Harvey through this organization.

She is very concerned about Florida's stray animal population that may be injured from neglect.

"Whereas dealing with the Florida Keys area, we're gunna have people's pets that unfortunately were left behind or people were on vacation," said Buege.

She is headed out to Florida Wednesday with the same group.
