A 67-year-old man shot during an attempted robbery in Wauwatosa near 95th Street and Grantosa Driver shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Detectives were seen canvassing the area talking to neighbors Monday and TODAY'S TMJ4 saw a relative cleaning blood in the driveway in the afternoon.

Neighbors who generally feel safe are now concerned. They say the neighborhood is normally quiet.

"It is unsettling, they're nice people they keep their house up very nice," said Richard Spatzek.

Police say the victim was parked outside of his home when two men approached him.

One of the suspects flashed a weapon, and the victim took off. The suspects chased him and at some point the man was shot a couple of blocks away from his home. He was then able to drive back home for help.

"It's concerning," Spatzek said.

Police also say this isn't the first time a situation like this has happened. Back in July of 2014, three masked gunmen reportedly broke into the home and stole jewelry and money from this family.

"I thought oh no, not again, very sad especially when things happened a couple of years ago and now again," Spatzek said.

A victim was beat in the 2014 incident and no arrests were made. After being shot the victim was taken to the hospital where he's expected to survive.

Police are still looking for the suspects. Once we get a description of the suspects we'll keep you updated.
