Wauwatosa Mother's Day fundraiser raised money to help stop crime

WAUWATOSA -- Families in Wauwatosa flocked to a Mother's Day event Sunday that also helped raise money to help police fight crime.
 
Hart Park was overflowing with flowers, pancakes and love for Mom Sunday.
Families were happy to know all the money raised, will help them encourage people who know about a crime, to come forward.
 
"We let them know its 100 percent anonymous. We don't put their names in the reports, but there's a way to collect the tip anonymously through a bank," explained Taren Sartler with Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers.
 
In the past 12 years, tips to the Wauwatosa Crime Stoppers netted 76 arrests and has solved 60 separate crimes.
