APPLETON -- A new art exhibit features photographs and personal stories of veterans across Wisconsin.

"Wisconsin War Stories" opened April 16 at The Trout Museum of Art, 111 W College Ave., in Appleton.

Admission for museum members and veterans/active military members is free. It will be $6 for adults, $4 for seniors/students and $2 for children.

The exhibit will be on display through July 3.

A related exhibit will display the artwork of veterans expressing their view of war. Many of them were created as part of The Return and Recovery Program for Military Veterans. They will be on display through June 19.

The museum is also inviting visitors to bring in a photo of a veteran or active military family member or friend to display on their community wall of honor.
