CUDAHY - A Cudahy couple is doubling the size of its bread business to keep rising above their competitors.

Angelic Bakehouse Inc. started with just eight employees back in 2009. Today they are at 60.

Groundbreaking on an expansion to their facility will likely double its company size.

The owners explain most competitors use bags of flour to make bread. Their company uses seven different grains, promising higher protein and low carbs.

Jenny Marino shared what it is like to see her brand at Costco.

"Almost eight years later when I'm at the grocery store and I see a loaf of Angelic in someone's cart my heart just beats," Marino said.

The new construction should be complete by next Summer.

Expect the business to expand even more with this roughly $10 million investment.
