Reaction poured out of Capitol Hill Wednesday night following the news the U.S. Sen. John McCain has been diagnosed with brain cancer.
House Speaker Paul Ryan said, “John McCain has always been a warrior. It’s who he is. I know John is going to fight this with the same sheer force of will that has earned him the admiration of the nation.”
Fellow Sen. Ron Johnson also released a statement that read, “He is a fighter, and I know he will attack this diagnosis with the strength and perseverance he has demonstrated throughout his life.”
Republicans delayed a vote on the healthcare plan because of McCain’s procedure. Now there is uncertainty of what happens next.
