1 killed, 1 seriously injured in Waukesha County crash Monday night

TOWN OF LISBON, Wis. – A 44-year-old Milwaukee woman was killed in a Waukesha County car accident Monday night. 

The crash was reported around 11:20 p.m. on STH 164 at Jay Lane in the Town of Lisbon. 

According to the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office, a Cadillac – driven by a 23-year-old Pewaukee woman - was traveling southbound on STH 164 crossed the centerline and traveled into the northbound lane causing a northbound Dodge vehicle to take evasive action. The Dodge vehicle – driven by a 59-year-old Waupun man - left the roadway and rolled into the ditch on the east side of the road. 

The Cadillac continued southbound in the northbound lane and collided with a Mazda traveling northbound on STH 164 at Jay Lane. 

The 44-year-old woman in the Mazda and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Dodge vehicle was not injured and was released at the scene. The driver of the Cadillac was a 23-year-old woman from Pewaukee. She was transported to Froedtert Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. 

STH 164, from Good Hope Road to Plainview Road, remained closed for several hours while the accident was investigated. The crash remains under investigation by the Waukesha County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
