MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Fire Department is on scene of a major vehicle fire that caused part of the freeway to close Friday.

Officials responded to of I-43 Southbound at Keefe Avenue around 10:45 a.m. Friday for reports of a truck fire.

As of 11:45 a.m. Friday, some lanes of travel remain closed as crews worked to clean up the fire and begin their investigation.

There are no reports of any injuries at this time.

Residents in Downtown Milwaukee could see smoke from the fire for miles.
