Military families often leave an empty chair at the dinner table for loved ones who won't be home for Thanksgiving. But thanks to a Racine Company, a Wisconsin family will be with their military son.

SC Johnson is helping 75 families from around the country to travel and be reunited with active duty military family members for Thanksgiving.

That means the Pufall family in northern Wisconsin will be with their son, Shane.

"We are very excited, all of our stuff is packed," Don Pufall said.

Don, his wife Roberta and their sons will be in Norfolk, Virginia for Thanksgiving to see their son Shane, a petty officer on the USS Wasp.

"I hope he will be safe but this is what he wants to do so I am supporting him throughout this," Roberta Pufall said.

All her boys seem drawn to the military.

"I've been in ROTC last three years," Niccolo Pufall said. "As soon as I graduate here I'm looking to be an officer in the Air Force."

The Pufall's are a close family. A traditional Thanksgiving used to include deer hunting.

"Our family does go hunting out in camp in a neighboring county. There are times when Roberta brings a Thanksgiving dinner up to us," Don Pufall said.

And what's turkey day without watching the Packers?

For SC Johnson, the decision to reunite military families was simple.

"I am so grateful for everything members of our Armed Forces and their families do each and every day to protect our country. They sacrifice a great deal, including time away from their loved ones," said Fisk Johnson, the Chairman and CEO of SC Johnson.

The trip includes a Thanksgiving feast for all the reunited military families and a private concert with the band Train.
