ORLANDO -- The Orlando gunman's wife has told federal agents she tried to convince her husband not to carry out an attack, according to a new report from NBC News.
Omar Mateen's current wife told the FBI she was with Mateen when he bought both a holster and ammunition, the report says. She also said she once drove him to Pulse, the gay nightclub where the shooting occurred, because he wanted to "scope it out."
49 people were killed in the attack, and 53 more were injured - making it the deadliest mass shooting in our nation's modern history.
NBC News says authorities are considering filing charges against Mateen's wife, Noor, but that hasn't been decided yet.
