MILWAUKEE -- A 42-year-old Milwaukee man was killed in front of the District Six police station on Milwaukee's south side, police say.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Thursday in front of the station, located in the 3000 block of S. 27th St. According to a report from police, the victim got in an argument with two men who were in a car outside the station waiting for someone else to arrive.

During the argument, one of the two men, a 65-year-old Milwaukee man, drew a handgun and shot him.

The 65-year-old man and his 52-year-old friend then walked into the police station and turned themselves in, police say.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
