Jackson County man arrested for 7th OWU while drunk driving to prison

A Jackson County man is accused of drunk driving to the Jackson County Correctional Institute, and will face his seventh OWI.

According to a report from the LaCrosse Tribune, Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies found Kelly O’Brien, 52, of Black River Falls  driving a motorized bike with a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.27 percent.

O’Brien reportedly walked to the doors of the Jackson County prison in Brockway with what looked like a baseball bat, and approached a security vehicle.  Deputies later found it was a large flashlight.

O’Brien faces his seventh OWI, and will appear in Jackson County Circuit Court.
