Gov. Scott Walker entered into a heated exchange with Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson over health care reform in Appleton.

Walker was in town to promote tourism, when Nelson went to shake hands with the governor. He brought up the healthcare bill saying 300,000 people in northeast Wisconsin could lose insurance if the ACHA becomes law.

“You want to play politics? You should run for office,” Walker said. “You want to run for governor? Run for governor.”

“This is a really big issue,” Nelson responded.

The bill was passed in the House yesterday and now moves to the Senate. Changes to the bill are expected to be made before it comes up for a vote.
