Caledonia police arrested an Oak Creek woman on Mother’s Day after she was found with drugs in her car with her child in the passenger seat.

Lynnze Kucko had been driving when officers pulled her over for a headlight, and found the drugs inside the car.

"She had the weed right in her center console, right next to her child and right behind the child was her kit of heroin supplies," said K9 Officer Cory Radke of the Caledonia Police Department.

Radke was called out to Six Mile Road in Caledonia Sunday after another officer smelled marijuana during the traffic stop.  That's when one of their newest recruit, Louie went to work.

"I let him go in the vehicle. He alerted on the center console, he was hitting it with his nose and trying to open it up. He actually opened it up and right there I saw a bag of marijuana," Radke said.

Louie also found a pipe, grinder and supplies for using heroin.

"When I talked her about it she admitted yes and rolled up her sleeves and showed me all her collapsed veins and everything," Radke said.

Kucko was charged with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count of possession of marijuana. It all happened in front of her child which police hope was a wake up call for her to get help.

"That must have been rock bottom, especially on Mother's Day," Radke said.
