MILWAUKEE -- There's a birthday party being held for the City of Milwaukee turning 171 years old.

The Milwaukee Press Club, the oldest operating press club in North America, is hosting the event.

Joining us Sunday on Live at Daybreak with a look ahead to Thursday's "Celebrating our Heroes" event, was Tami Hughes. She shared with us some of the local heroes who will be honored.

This includes former Wisconsin Governor Marty Schreiber. Schreiber is an advocate for caregivers of those living with Alzheimer’s disease. The one-time Wisconsin governor wrote a book about caring for his wife, Elaine, who suffers from the disease. “My Two Elaines: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver” documents his own experience as a caregiver.

The event is happening Thursday January 26 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Grain Exchange. Tickets are $35 per person. To learn more, follow this link.
