MILWAUKEE -- Two people have died after a crash on the city's northwest side.
The wreck happened at 9:30 a.m. Thursday near 76th Street and Sheridan Avenue.
Milwaukee police said a car going south on 76th slammed into a City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works truck going west on Sheridan.
Officials said the passenger in the car, a 20-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital and later died.
The driver and passenger of the DPW truck were not injured.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are unknown at this time.
