Family honors late father, buys ad dedicated to his passion for Packers

MILWAUKEE - You may have noticed something special if you opened the sports section of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Sunday.
"I just wanted to tell the story of my dad," Steve Snyder said.
"Not jut as a die-hard Packers fan, which he was, and not just to thank Brett Favre for the happiest memory I have of my dad," he continued.
In an effort to tell his father's story, Steve and his family decided to do something unconventional and buy a 3/4 page ad to honor him.
“It’s very touching, it’s a tribute to his life," Jack Wichgers said.
"He would be embarrassed because he wasn’t that type of individual that would look for attention, but he just drew everyone closer to him," Wichgers continued.
Bill Snyder died unexpectedly at his home in Harland February 7th, the day after his 65th birthday. Bill was a husband, father, grandfather, and someone his family considers the world's biggest Packers fan.
"I think you'll see a lot of the love for Packers and family are in that article," Randy Unger said.
"And I think that the writing of that piece is a true indication of his life," Unger continued.
The ad ends with this appeal to all Packers fans: "If you've lost someone from our Pack, and could benefit from an open ear, please write us. We're eager to hear more about the best Packers fans."
With the use of the website, Bill's family is hoping to start chronicling profiles of everyday Packers heroes.
