MILWAUKEE -- During their six months deployments the more than 200 airmen serving in the 128th Air Refueling Wing, were also following their favorite baseball team the Milwaukee Brewers.

128 ARW is a Wisconsin Air National Guard unit based at Milwaukee’s General Mitchell International Airport.

It's a perfect time now for these service members to come home as they’re back in cooler weather after leaving 100-degree weather in the Middle East and the Brewers are playing for the National League Championship.

Colonel Timothy Guy has been saying “Go Brewers” since he's been back home.

"It feels awesome," Guy said.

He was also cheering on the team overseas.

"Seeing the Brewers, that was one of the nice things over there. Obviously, with technology, I was able to follow them and see what was going online so," he said.

Col. Guy isn't the only one with Brewers fever.

“It's very exciting, it makes the games exciting. It's part of the fall thing that I love, baseball so I'm super excited for the Brewers and watching them closely," said Lauren Renteria who’s also with the 128th Air Refueling Wing.

They just hope they continue this hot streak in Los Angeles.

“Brewers need to take at least two of them so hopefully they come back and be able to finish them off in Milwaukee," Guy said.

"What I'm hoping for is they at least win one game. We can get back to Milwaukee and do the business that we have to do to get to the World Series," said Brandon Gumm, another master sergeant.
