235 arrested after ICE raids in Wisconsin and other Midwest states

ICE says 163 were criminals

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 235 people across the Midwest including Wisconsin in a raid focused on immigration fugitives, and criminals.

ICE said Monday that the “targeted enforcement operation” in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Kansas and Missouri resulted in the arrest of 163 convicted criminals, 60 illegal immigrants who re-entered the U.S. and 12 immigration fugitives who have “outstanding final orders of removal,” from a federal judge.

According to ICE, those arrested who will not be prosecuted for a crime will instead be processed for deportation.
