DODGE COUNTY – There's outrage growing on social media over a video posted on Facebook showing a Wisconsin girl violently throwing a baby goose into a pond.

The video appears to have been taken on Snapchat -- and then was posted on Facebook on May 31.

Watertown Police and the Dodge County Sheriff's Office say they are aware of the circulating video and have passed the information on to the Wisconsin DNR. Watertown Police add the video was not taken in the city limits of Watertown.

The girl in the video is seen wearing a Watertown Softball Team T-Shirt – but officials with Watertown High School tell TODAY’S TMJ4 that the team is not affiliated with the school.

The Wisconsin DNR tells TODAY'S TMJ4  they are investigating the incident.
