After months of speculation, it now appears that Amazon will open a new distribution facility in Oak Creek.

Talked about recently as "project arrow," Amazon.com is now on the Council Agenda for Tuesday's meeting.

The company is expected to occupy a 2.6 million square foot, 4 story building off Ryan Road and 13th. The facility is just under 20 miles from the company's other distribution center in Kenosha.

Residents nearby are not happy about the size and scope of the project.

"We knew something was going to be [there] but nothing this big... It's going to be double size Kenosha, can you imagine?" said Jadranka Bilandzija.

She's been in her home for 15 years and says traffic from the construction has already caused problems for her neighbors. She also says the construction sounds are already annoying.

"Beeping... beep beep beep constant beeping. They start at 6 o'clock in the morning, Saturday and Sunday included. And they finish [at] 9 o'clock 10 o'clock at night" she said.

Oak Creek Officials declined to comment on this story Monday night, ahead of Tuesday's meeting. It's likely the city and Amazon.com entered a nondisclosure agreement during the search for the property.

Amazon will lease the space from a developer.
