The Wisconsin DNR is hosting a viewing event for the Perseid Meteor Shower on Saturday.
From 8:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. guests can go to the Lakeshore State Park and watch the meteors light up the sky. Visitors are asked to meet at the south entrance
The DNR anticipates that the Perseid Meteor shower will be the best meteor shower this year.
Spectators should see about 60-70 meteors per hour according to Space.com.
The event is free, so pack the family in the car, grab a blanket and some snacks, and head to the lakefront to see the show.
