More than 60 cats rescued from hoarding situation in Oconto County

42 of the cats are in the care of the WHS

More than 60 cats have been rescued from a hoarding situation in Oconto County and will soon be available for adoption. 

The Wisconsin Humane Society discovered the animals after receiving a call last Thursday from the police to help remove the cats. Upon arrival, WHS staff discovered dozens of sick, injured and even deceased cats.

As of now, 42 of the 60+ cats are in the care of the WHS and are being housed between their Milwaukee, Green Bay and Ozaukee campuses.

If you are interested in adopting one of these animals, WHS advises you to stay updated on their website for new entires as some of these cats will be available within the next week.
