Marquette University students report long lines on Election Day

MILWAUKEE -- Some college students voting at Marquette University Tuesday reported long lines as they waited to register to vote.

TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Eric Ross said lines for those who still needed to register had to wait in line up to two hours. The line for students who were already registered had no wait.

High turnout has been reported at many polling locations around southeastern Wisconsin, and Tuesday's primary elections could be some of the biggest in decades, according to predictions from the state's Government Accountability Board.

While lines around the state may be long, it's important to remember one thing: If you're in line when polls close at 8:00 p.m., you are guaranteed the chance to cast your vote.
