MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee police say a 56-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a car while walking on Blue Mound Road Wednesday morning.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. in the 10000 block of W. Blue Mound Road in Milwaukee.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver is 72-year-old man. Police say he remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The accident has forced law enforcement to close all eastbound lanes of Blue Mound Road at Highway 100. You can check drive times here.
The Medical Examiner has scheduled an autopsy for Thursday.
