Angie Hall, a beloved Hartford community member who served as a teacher, coach and EMT for Hartford Fire and Rescue, has died following her battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS.

Hall died early Thursday morning in the arms of her loved ones. Her family said they were all together when she passed.

On Tuesday, Hall, her husband Mike and best friend Kristen Helms spoke with TMJ4 News, sharing that she was in the final stages of her fight against ALS.

Hartford Fire and Rescue Chief Tony Burgard said he is proud of Hall for fighting as long as she did and for inspiring the "We Get To" movement, a push for people to appreciate everyday moments.

"While it might not be something that we all enjoy, we should really take a step back and think not everyone has this opportunity and we should enjoy that we get to do these things," he said. "So, if we can just get that mindset to last through other people, we could really make some positive changes."

Details about a celebration of life for Hall have not been announced yet.

The community created an online fundraiser, selling T-shirts that say "We Get To." The fundraiser runs through Oct. 27

As the World Series fills up fans calendars across Wisconsin, one Germantown bride-to-be has had her wedding date circled long before the Brewers clinched.

Samantha Korsi is just two days away from marrying the love of her life, with her wedding day falling on the same day as World Series Game 2.

"For us, we don't want it to just be a wedding. We want it to be a party and a celebration," Korsi said.

Korsi said the possibility of the Brewers making it to the World Series added even more excitement to the couples big day.

"He goes, World Series could be is going to be like right over our wedding. I was like, how cool would that be if the Brewers actually made it this year? So it's just been a lot of excitement."

The couple plans to bring Brewers spirit to their reception, with TVs showing the game and guests welcome to change into Brewers gear.

"In my eyes, people are going to watch the game regardless if we have it on the TVs. They'll just be sitting at their tables on their phones watching it. Where I'd rather have them up and being interactive and you know on the dance floor," Korsi said.

The World Series wedding isn't the only way the couple's love of Wisconsin sports has shaped their plans. Korsi and her fianc tried to get married at American Family Field when they were planning their wedding about two years ago.

We were told just because of our date, we couldn't have it at the stadium," Korsi said.

She said the Brewers keep October open in case the team makes it to the World Series.

"We've kind of joked that like we've willed that into fruition," Korsi said.

Instead, Korsi and her fianc will tie the knot at the Timber Rattlers stadium in Appleton, keeping their wedding close to the Brewers.

While some guests have canceled because of the World Series, Korsi said she's looking on the bright side.

"I was promised a foul ball if one was caught from one of my family members that are going to the game. So, and like, if you can get a game, a ticket to a game, like you can't really choose it. You gotta just take what you get. So I can't be too mad," Korsi said. "Like I said, we would be there if we could be."

For Korsi and her fianc Joe, it's a wedding day that brings together two of their biggest passions: their love for each other and their love for Wisconsin sports.

Kewaskum police will not renew their contract with Flock Safety, the department's police chief said, after an AI license plate-reading camera in the village was cut down and stolen earlier this year.

Back in July, someone knocked down and stole the one Flock Safety camera that was up in Kewaskum on Highway 45 and Highway H.

Police Chief Tom Bishop said that since there has been so much public pushback in Germantown, Slinger and Hartford, his team opted not to replace the stolen camera or renew their contract with Flock.

Donald Williams, who owns a business nearby in Kewaskum, said he's glad the camera is gone.

"Because I think it's an invasion of privacy," he said. "They have the potential to be more invasive than the good."

Williams said he understands the cameras have helped law enforcement catch criminals, but he also worries they could be used maliciously.

Williams appreciates the police for pausing on a contract renewal, but he also said he wants to see more transparency.

"How come they have to be so reactive? Why can't they be more proactive? Why weren't we notified that this is a system that's in use?" Williams said. "I guess I wish policing were a little more upfront than secretive."

The decision might not be permanent. Bishop emailed TMJ4 News and said that he'll continue to monitor how these discussions evolve and may revisit the technology in the future. Until then, he said a pause is appropriate.

Angie Hall, a beloved teacher and coach at Hartford Union High School, is in the final stage of her battle against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, as her friends and family prepare to say goodbye.

Hall is only 47. Her mind is alive and well, but her body is shutting down. The degenerative illness is now impacting her breathing, meaning any day could be her last.

"It's definitely not easy," Kristen Helms said. "We've known these days are coming, but .... there's just never enough time."

Helms is Hall's best friend. She helped take care of Hall, along with Hall's husband, Mike, as both prepare to say goodbye.

"I am forever grateful for all of the hours that I've spent with her; just the privilege of taking care of her," Helms said. "I am definitely going to be sad, but I have so many good memories. Her children and my children have grown up as siblings, so I will be there for them."

Mike and Angie have been married nearly 20 years, have two children together and have shared a lot of pain and a lot of laughter.

"She's my life partner. It's impossible to describe how your life can change in an instant," Mike said. "She definitely lives up to the clich of being somebody's better half; she is such a better person than I am she's laughing because she knows it."

Angie has inspired a positive movement called "Get To," hoping to shift people's focus when challenges come their way because they "get to" face the day, which soon Angie won't be able to do.

"I think just look for the good," Helms said. "Because a lot of good has come about."

Helms promises to continue Angie's legacy with the "Get To" movement and raise money into the future for ALS research to find a cure.
