Police confirmed both victims suffered fatal gunshot wounds. O'Neal was identified as Fleming's mother and Brushwood as his stepfather.

Fleming is also charged with first-degree murder in the October 13 shooting death of 36-year-old Graeme Dobbeck, an employee at a Seattle gas station where Fleming previously worked.

According to charging documents, surveillance footage allegedly shows Fleming walking behind the counter and shooting Dobbeck at least four times. Investigators reported no apparent argument before the shooting.

Prosecutors also say firearm licensing records indicate Fleming owns at least 44 handguns. They requested $5 million in bail.

Back in Kenosha, neighbor Bob Rosenthal described discovering police activity near the victims' residence.

A relative of Brushwood told TMJ4 News the family is devastated by the loss.

Fleming has not been charged in connection with the Kenosha homicides.

Kenosha police told TMJ4 News that Seattle authorities will be allowed to extradite Fleming first on their murder warrant. Kenosha investigators will then work toward pursuing charges in Wisconsin, a process police say could take several weeks.

The Kenosha double homicide investigation remains ongoing.

Its about time to watch on your time. "There's places to hide. There are a lot of empty units; there are empty garages they can get into."

Kenosha police said detectives will work with the Kenosha County District Attorneys Office to initiate extradition proceedings and pursue charges in Wisconsin.

Its about time to watch on your time. That's the way it should've been, O'Keefe said.

The quick turnaround came as a surprise to O'Keefe, who said he had spent months trying to get the problem addressed.

I was very surprised they came out, and again, it just really amazes me, the power of the press, he said.

For O'Keefe, the repairs are about more than convenience. He previously expressed concerns about the uneven surface creating a safety hazard for people walking through the alley.

Now, after months of calls, complaints and waiting, he says he's relieved to finally see a difference.

The alley he once struggled to drive through has a newly graded surface and O'Keefe hopes it stays that way.

Its about time to watch on your time. Now, a close family friend is bringing the community together to help them start over.

Hailey Mews, her husband and their two young children, ages 4 and 2, were not harmed in the fire. However, the family lost nearly everything, including clothing, toys, photographs and cherished keepsakes.

Just absolutely devastating. I mean, it was a complete loss, said Brandy Miller, a longtime family friend.

Miller said the loss goes far beyond material possessions.

To lose all of your pets, all your belongings, baby photos, wedding photos, you know, all those mementos, keepsakes, it's just an absolute devastation, she said.

Miller has known the family for more than a decade and says they've made a lasting difference in her life and the lives of others.

They've done so much for our family, but also for other families in the community, Miller said.

Determined to give back, Miller began collecting donations of clothing, shoes, winter gear and other essentials. She said the response has already exceeded her expectations.

The family is also in need of personal care items, food, children's toys, blankets and gift cards to grocery stores and other retailers.

An upcoming pancake breakfast on Sunday at AMC Lounge will also help support the family, with a portion of sales going toward purchasing necessities.

For those wishing to contribute financially, visit this page for donations.

Miller hopes the community's generosity continues as the family faces the difficult process of rebuilding.

It takes a village, and this is just proof right now, that it really does take a village, and our village is amazing, she said.

For a family that has spent years helping others, their community is now returning that kindness when they need it most.

Its about time to watch on your time.
