The Majestic Cinema of Brookfield is serving up major #FlashbackFriday feels by opening a drive-in theatre in their parking lot.

The 'parking lot cinema' opens Friday with a double feature showing. From there, it will be open seven days per week during the summer moviegoing season.
A 42 ft. screen will be attached to the outside of the Majestic Cinema of Brookfield building, and movie goers will need to tune into a radio frequency in their cars to access the sound. Parking lot lights will be turned down to create that movie atmosphere. Food and soda will be available to order online and then be picked up at a designated area in the parking lot.
About 100 cars will be able to attend a showing.
“We are excited to welcome back guests to our theatre through our second Parking Lot Cinema concept,” said Rolando Rodriguez, chairman, president and CEO of Marcus Theatres. “We know that our guests are looking forward to enjoying movies together again and this provides an option to do so. It also provides a comfortable way to ease into the process since viewing is from the privacy of their own vehicles."
The first movies playing in the drive-in theatre will be "E.T." and "Jurassic Park." Movies will change weekly on Fridays and all tickets must be purchased online. The first film will start at sundown, or approximately 8:45 p.m.
The cost will be $25 per carload Monday through Thursday and $30 per carload Friday through Sunday.
