Karen Stiles

Knowing that she can make a difference in people’s lives is why Karen Stiles, director of the TODAY'S TMJ4 Call 4 Action office, has been a volunteer with this program since its inception in 1998.

“I learn so much from people who have fallen victim to a scam, have dealt with a bad business transaction, or just need someone to turn to when they are going through a tough time. It is really rewarding to know that perhaps someone’s life became better because of the work that we do as volunteers with Call 4 Action,” Karen said.

Call 4 Action is part of the Call For Action, Inc. nonprofit network of consumer hotlines affiliated with local broadcast partners throughout the United States. The volunteers at the TODAY'S TMJ4 Call 4 Action office have worked with thousands of consumers since 1998, retrieving hundreds of thousands of dollars for consumers who used their services.

Karen is a lifelong resident of Wisconsin, and a magna cum laude graduate of Marquette University, with a double major in professional communication and broadcast and electronic communication.

In addition to her work with Call 4 Action, Karen maintains a full time career in the insurance industry. She also volunteers and has held multiple leadership positions with a number of local non-profit organizations and has been a member of the board of directors for the national Call For Action program for over 10 years. She has also organized and chaired over 75 community fundraisers with local nonprofits that have raised over one million dollars for individuals and communities in need.

Karen is the recipient of several awards including the client service award from the LIFE Foundation, Alumni of the Year award with Marquette University, Wisconsin Fraternal Insurance Counselor of the Year, as well as other insurance industry awards.

When Karen is not working, volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, hiking, and baking cookies.
