Shorewood’s Don Natzke is passionate about voting. He tells TMJ4, as a Blind person, he’s experienced what he calls barriers for voters with disabilities at the polls. Now he’s one of four petitioners filing a lawsuit against Wisconsin in hopes of adding online ballot options for voters with disabilities.

He says the need for the pantry has skyrocketed in the last 3 years, pushing the organization to consider how they can expand to better serve the needs of their neighbors. He says the addition of the commercial kitchen and the growth of the food pantry will allow them to help even more people in the community.

She’s been volunteering for there for the last 5 years, but has lived in the neighborhood for almost 40. She says she decided to get involved after retiring and wants to give everyone the opportunity to feel safe and respected.

A lawsuit in Wisconsin argues that voters with disabilities should be able to cast their ballots electronically and that failing to provide that option for the upcoming Tuesday, Aug. 13, primary and November 2024 presidential election is discriminatory and unconstitutional.
